Exploring the Wild Atlantic Way
If you love wild vistas and spectacular roads, the Wild Atlantic Way is an adventure not to be missed. This legendary road runs for over 2,500 km along Ireland’s west coast, offering incredible views of the Atlantic. Steep cliffs, secret coves and picturesque villages await you at every turn.
Discover the Cliffs of Moher
The Cliffs of Moher, undoubtedly one of the country’s most famous landmarks, are absolutely spectacular. Over 200 metres high, they offer breathtaking views of the Atlantic and, on a clear day, the Aran Islands. The walk along the cliffs is impressive, and allows you to feel the full power of Irish nature.
Dive into history in Dublin
Dublin is impossible to miss! The Irish capital is a vibrant city where you can stroll the cobbled streets of Temple Bar, visit Trinity College and its famous library, or discover the Chester Beatty Library, a real treasure trove for lovers of ancient manuscripts. Of course, a stop at the Guinness Storehouse is a must, to learn all about the famous black beer and sample one with a panoramic view of the city.
Discover Celtic legends
Ireland is a land of myths and legends, and what better way than to explore some of its most iconic sites? The Giant’s Causeway, with its unique hexagonal rock formations, seems straight out of a fantasy tale. Further south, the Glendalough valley, nestled in the Wicklow mountains, is a haven of peace where you can still feel the atmosphere of the ancient Celtic monasteries.
Taste the local gastronomy
There’s more to Ireland than Guinness and whiskey! The gastronomic scene has developed considerably in recent years. Try seafood chowder, a delicious seafood soup, Irish stew or fresh Galway oysters. And of course, let yourself be tempted by an evening in a traditional pub with live music.
Hiking in Connemara
The mountains of Connemara offer breathtaking scenery and unspoilt nature. Between lakes, peat bogs and green hills, this wild corner of Ireland is perfect for a hike after an intense surf session. The Sky Road, near Clifden, is one of the finest itineraries for admiring all the beauty of the region.
